Geotrail
whee.....Geotrail was fun ....veri fun.....but extreme, super, ultra tired....haha...
DJ n CL super pro leh.....esp DJ ....as if he noes evry single thing....why he seems to noe evryth...a kind of genius i think....damn clever n intelligent...they rocks! haha.....
i was quite excited...lookin forward to havin fun...well and it turned out realli challengin...i didnt
expect myself to really take part in a "SO REAL" amazing race...e clues were indeed interestin...lolz...
during e speed round...though nt e first few to be out of LT 12...but i think we did pretty well...bt wats more coz of e 2 pro sec 4s... they realli deserved to be praised... u won't feel e kind of WOW so pro.....im kinda curious to noe wat're e stuffs in their brain huh?.....they r like full of knowledge ... haha... we got to our 1st station... e Chinese Garden...it's like such a coincidence... e 1st station of our route was actualli e one tat last yr gp got lost in it....well our ist task was to study e rocks there... sth related to igneous rock....tats wat we've answered...n e rock cycle...sth we've learnt durin sec 2....can't realli remembered alot...haha....we got our 2nd clue...with a dog + NATURE RESERVE...haha...im thinkin onli me n nicole were there guessing wat's related to dog...haha...n we actualli didn't realise tat's a labrador... so its labrador nature reserve....haix....i dunn think i noe such a place... bt wif e help of our maps....street directories....n stuffs like these...we made our way to harbour front thru train...e travellin cost us more time then we expected n we actualli reached e harbour front interchange at abt 10.50...well...still we waited till 11 to board bus 408 ... we kinda of estimatin to complete our next task within e nxt 30min so tat we won't miss e bus back which leaves at tat tym.....bt 4 get abt it when we reach e station... i remembered we had to find a dragon tooth gate ....n ans some sort of waves qns...haha....interesting leh.... n then we headed back......to e main road where we walked n walked n walked till a bus-stop.... nt sure where we were then...jus some roads tat i've nvr been b4....
our nxt station was Sir Stamford Raffles Statue...e one standing in front of Victoria Memorial hall... along S'pore river....we reaallliii walked a long way fr Raffles Place to e spot....i think we'd at least walked abt 3 rounds around e whole of S'pore river....tat's crazy man! having to walk a big round to e opp side where Sir Stamford Raffles is .... then back to e opp to get e ans for e task n then back to e station again...aiyo realli tiring....so hot n hungry then...addin more to our pathetic situation was e penalty tat we gt fr e station marshal 4 splittin durin e task...bt mus mention tat thos behind were onli abit lackin lah....bt we still did our task all along together mah......then it's lunch time....bt we actualli skipped our lunch...do u expect us to get our lunch fr e 5-stars hotel which was e nearest....haha ....jus kiddin lah....aniwae we decided to make our way to e DURiAN....so we walked n walked thru e underpass....across e high way .... when we were there...i think lunch time amost over...so jus gt our task n we answered them sittin on e floor... i think we were all hungry n exhausted ...esp it's abt noon u noe.....so hot ...SO HOT!!
Walk .... walk ....walk.... down e highway.....down e construction site....some interesting workers jus shouted out at us....mm some sort of sayin "study is good for us...Mus study hard...n dun be like us".... we didn't realli bother abt them bt we noe their good intention...so it's realli hard on them to work under e hot sun.... .... when we were on e bus ... we took a chance to rest....n hav some M & M's chocolates fr chiahong...i think im gettin some glucose to gain back my energy....haha....
we reached parkway n took another bus...197 ...i think...to east coast...i remembered there's another team wif us on e same bus headin towards e same station ba..... on our way to e food village.... i saw e recently opened man-made wake-boarding site...whoo....it's fun yeah...feel like playin too....bt nt much energy left maybe.....there in e village...we found e station marshals in yellow tees.....n completed our task within 15 mins.... i gt my sugarcane drink there... same for dingjie, chonglip, nicole n chiahong, all of us gt our mineral water too....so tat's my lunch...a cup of sugarcane........well...pathetic rite?
there's drizzling here n there ...nt realli heavy until we actualli reached Pasir Ris....heavy rain tat soaked us all wet....esp my shoes.... so soaked n damp..... e clue's damn tricky bt i noe e place cos pasir ris park's sort of my childhood place.... bt it's a diffcult way thru cos of e heavy rain n flooding path....we couldn't find e station marshals when we reached e spot shown in e clue...so after some yuan wang lu...finalli gt to e tall hut...by then its oreadi abt 3.45 after e task....though we noe our nxt station-Punggol Bus interchange... of course we decided to head back to NUS since there's nt much time left to 4 pm when all stations would be closed...
we tot of gettin some food at whitesands bt we didn't eventualli....so boarded e MRT train towards clementi.....it's a long way...taking abt45 min....well...we had a good rest on e train....bt nt enough for my tiring legs....haha....bt we pulled it through e 6 stations...breaking our school record of last yr, rite? by then....at clementi...we waited for bus 96 for quite some tym...n by e tym e bus arrived...we were caught up by another group....there's nt much tym left to 5.30pm....n we decided to outrun them once we reached e bus-stop... tat's a realli tough run back to LT 8.... of course we were maybe one of e last ten grps as there were oreadi many schools who had reached b4 us n changed into their U's then.....

well...i think we'd done our school proud for getting e 8th position for Geography Challenge 06......bt dingjie is really e one tat'd done e school proud for winnin e individual award...e prizes were attractive....so congrats Dingjie.....
then we had our photo-taking...n finally dinner tym! mr tan kept stuffin us(me n nicole) wif food...haha....i think u need more then us ba.....remember mus watch ur diet....jus kiddin...dun take it seriously... aniwae thx for givin us a ride back to clementi ...
